QUEENS ENERGY WITH A PURPOSE

Coming out of Jamaica, Queens, HIGHJACK is building a sound that does exactly what his name promises—it takes over. Rooted in real New York culture but not confined by it, his music moves through multiple lanes, blending melody, energy, and storytelling into something that feels alive.

“My sound highjacks your vibe and takes you on an adventure.”

Influenced by legends like Ludacris, Drake, J. Cole, 50 Cent, and Future, HIGHJACK studied the greats but never let it box him in. Instead, he took pieces of their artistry and built a sound that’s fully his own—one that balances feel-good energy with real-life experiences.

BUILT FROM THE CITY THAT CREATED HIP-HOP

Growing up in Queens, music wasn’t just entertainment—it was part of everyday life. From early inspiration hearing classic records to now creating his own, HIGHJACK’s journey feels like a full circle moment.

“Growing up in Queens, I always knew this is what I wanted to do.”

But NYC also comes with pressure. With so many artists competing for attention, standing out can be one of the biggest challenges. For HIGHJACK, that meant finding his identity and locking in on what makes him different.

“Once I found my sound and my flow, everything started to make sense.”

That clarity helped shape him into an artist who doesn’t chase trends—he creates experiences.

Life Reflected in Music

HIGHJACK doesn’t just make music for entertainment; he reflects real life. He touches subtly on the challenges he’s seen and lived: “I hit all lanes—from the streets, to the parties, to real-life struggles of being a Black man in this world, and my fans resonate with that.

But the focus remains on feel-good, high-energy tracks. HIGHJACK is on a mission to bring people back to the dance floor, making music that lifts spirits while keeping it grounded in authentic experiences.

I make music for real life—from the club to the struggle to the bounce back.

MUSIC THAT FEELS GOOD AGAIN

With his latest release Freak 304, HIGHJACK taps directly into nightlife culture. Inspired by real experiences in clubs, after-hours spots, and the energy of the city, the record is built to move people.

“Freak 304 is all about the nightlife and the energy women want to feel.”

But beyond the party, his overall mission runs deeper. HIGHJACK is focused on bringing back a feeling he believes music has been missing—fun, movement, and connection.

“I want to bring back feel-good music and real energy to the culture.”

His creative process reflects that same originality. Instead of following a typical routine, he leans into his environment—even using something as simple as the sound of running water to spark ideas.

I want people dancing again, living again, feeling something when the beat drop.

NO BOXES, NO LIMITS

Versatility is at the core of HIGHJACK’s artistry. He raps, sings, writes, and moves between styles effortlessly, refusing to be defined by one sound or expectation.

“I’m not meant to be kept in one lane.”

That mindset is what allows his music to connect across different audiences—from the streets to the dance floor, from personal struggles to celebration moments. Every track carries a piece of real life, making it relatable while still being high-energy.

With a busy summer ahead, new music, and more performances on the way, HIGHJACK is preparing to elevate his presence even further.

“Is there anything I can’t do? As time goes on, people will understand.”

They might try to box artists in, but I was never built for one sound.
